The 2022 campaign, titled “Life Subtitled,” builds on the award-winning success of 2021’s “Life, Scripted” campaign and highlights the universal accessibility of cinema using that classic filmmaking staple: the subtitle.
“Life Subtitled demonstrates that an international film festival isn’t as foreign as some might think,” said Gabe Usadel, Executive Design Director at Ogilvy. “Since the beginning of film, subtitles have helped break down barriers. They transcend language and abilities, reflect universal struggles and triumphs, and unite movie-goers. This year we bring the romance, intrigue, and drama of film to life by giving Chicago and Chicagoans their very own subtitles.”
